TW Services Re-Cycle For Third Year Running
Since its introduction in 2009 the TW Services Cycle to Work Scheme has gone from strength to strength and remains as popular as when first introduced.
Following this success, purpose built bicycle sheds and staff showers have been built to cope with the take up of interest and have had a positive effect on the numbers of further individuals taking part.
So successful was the scheme it inspired Director, Spencer Ray to form a team of four from TW Services and a team of four from sister company DDS Demolition to compete in the Race the Sun event held in the Lake District.
This event sees competitors take part in a 28 mile cycle ride followed by the ascent and descent of Helvellyn. Once on terra firma following the descent competitors then embark on a 3 mile kayak event across Lake Thirlmere followed by a 28 mile cycle ride back to the start. The TW Services team were delighted to finish in 11th position overall.
